Description of the programme: In its scientific descipline, the International Relations Master’s Programme was the first qualification in a foreign language to be accredited in Hungary. There are two types of specialization in a course that awards two certificates: European Studies and African Development. The aim of the programme is to provide an exceptional training for European and African students that delves into the issues of each particular specialization and at the same time extends to other disciplines, directly connected to international relations. Since courses are held in foreign language and owing to the vast international network of the Faculty, students are able to absorb knowledge and skills from native speaker French, Belgian and African professorts that are essential for facing the challenges of labour market. Aside from the professors, there are many experts participating in the education. Therefore students are able to get hold of pragmatic expertise that is vital in European and African public administration and in the private sector.
On both specializations, as a result of the multidisciplinary tutition, students are going to obtain knowledge in the fields of political sciencem law and public administration. So the goal of the Master is to train experts with a torough and multidisciplinary approach concerning international issues, thus enabling them to commence a professional career in the public or private sector: in diplomacy, as a European Law specialist, in executive positions at companies, as expert/advisor in European or African relations, lobbyist, or in the fields of international cultural relations and of European or international administration.
