Description of the programme: The aim of the BSc programme is to train agricultural engineers capable of realising production, leader, management, controlling and organisation work in agricultural enterprises of different size and type, completing tasks in enterprises dealing with the processing and marketing of agricultural products and also carrying out professional management duties and analysing and controlling commercial, economic processes in connection with agriculture. The courses consist of 6 academic semesters and 1 semester of comprehensive professional training. Professional training is also provided through 5x1 full time tuitional weeks' training. The thorough theoretical and practical knowledge provided by the programme enables students to work on various fields of agriculture and it also prepares them for participation in a wide range of various MSc programmes related to agriculture.
Research projects carried out on the pilot farm of the faculty, at various enterprises or research institutes under the guidance of designated supervisors are leading to the preparation of the BSc thesis that has to be publicly defended. The courses finish with a comprehensive final exam.
