Preparatory course/Foundation year

Description of the programme: Applicants who were not admitted to the regular degree course and those who require additional instruction or review in basic sciences can join the Preparatory Course/Foundation year organised by the Faculty of Medicine to prepare for the entrance examination. Duration: 8 months. Starting date: October of each year.

Application procedure:

- Main application requirements: successful completion of high school, oral and written competence in English language (proficiency level: eg. TOEFL IBT – score: min. 81 /IELTS – score: min. 6.5); furthermore, basic knowledge in natural sciences. Further application requirements can be found in the Application Brochure.

- Application fee: 200 EUR

- Registration fee: 220 EUR

- Annual tuition fee: 5600 EUR

German language preparatory course

Degree: non-degree

Duration of the course: 4 semesters

Language of tuition: German

Description of the programme: The German Language Medical Programme covers the first two years of the six-year Medical Programme. After successful completion of the first two years the certificate Zeugnis über den ersten Abschnitt der Ärztlichen Prüfung is awarded. The certificate is recognised in Germany.

Application procedure

- Places are distributed in several rounds after May 31 each year (following the application deadline). Decisions on admission are made on the basis of good school leaving examination results, expecially in natural science subjects. - Main application requirements: successful completion of high school, furthermore, oral and written competence in German language (for native speakers or applicants who have pursued their high school studies in German language). - Application deadline: 31th May 2014

- Application fee: 200 EUR

- Registration fee: 220 EUR

- Annual tuiton fee: 13200 EUR (years 1-2)
