University of Szeged - Where knowledge and challenge meet

The participants of this special training of the European Studies Centre first become familiar with the French legal system, its most important branches and their connection to the European Union and they gain theoretical and practical experiences. The attainment of these aims is assisted by French professors from our partner universities (Université Jean Moulin-Lyon III., Montpellier I., François Rabelais-Tours). Furthermore, due to a ministerial agreement between Hungary and France, courses are held by native speaker instructors and guest professors.

The training programme includes the comparative analysis of the Hungarian and French legal systems and the translation of both jurisdictions. By the end of this special training, students attain the competencies of a jurist and a specialized translator. The participants receive intensive language and translator courses to acquire the theoretical and technical basis of translation from and to French language and in order to the effective utilization of the vocabulary obtained on professional courses. The training welcomes graduates from the field of law and they receive a postgraduate degree namely: specialist in French law and in French legal translation. Les étudiants de cette formation acquerront des connaissances relatives au système juridique français, à ses différentes branches et rapports avec l’Union européenne tout en obtenant des expériences théoriques et pratiques. Les enseignants provenant des universités partenaires françaises (Université Jean Moulin Lyon III., Montpellier I., François Rabelais Tours) et les lecteurs arrivés dans le cadre de la coopération mininstérielle franco-hongroise offrent leur précieux concours dans ce cursus. L’analyse comparative du système juridique français et hongrois et sa traduction du et vers le français constituent une partie importante de la formation. Les étudiants acquerront à la fois des compétences d’expert en droit français et de traducteur. En même temps, les étudiants auront des cours de langue intensifs et des cours de traduction qui leur permettront d’obtenir les bases théoriques et pratiques de la traduction du et vers le français ainsi que le vocabulaire propre au domaine juridique. Ils apprendront également d’appliquer efficacement le vocabulaire acquis lors des cours professionnels. Le cursus d’expert en droit français est accessible aux étudiants diplômés de droit et est sanctionné d’un diplôme.
